Course Overview

The word ‘Seerah’ is derived from the Arabic root verb “Saara, Yaseeru,” which means “to travel or be on a journey.”A person’s biography is termed as Seerah. when we study the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) blessed life and times, we are walking along his path and are essentially following in his footsteps.

The Arabs used this phrase for reference to any person in their society’s biography, but after the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), notable Muslim scholars and historians have solely used it to refer to the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). As a result, when scholars refer to “Seerah,” they are referring to a history of the life and times of the greatest of human beings, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who is without a doubt the Ideal Character.

Search learning is a show of affection, and it enhances our love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The only method to strengthen our unstable affection for the Prophet is to study Seerah (PBUH). We are commanded to love him, and it is one of the principles of faith. We should love him beyond and above our parents, children, all other people, and even ourselves.

Narrated Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (PBUH) said,

“None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.” – (Al-Bukhari 15).

Almighty Allah has said in the Quran to know our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He says:

“There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent role model for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often.” – (Al-Ahzab 33:21).

Almighty Allah had bestowed innumerable miracles upon Prophet Muhammad PBUH. The Tree Talking and the Splitting of the Moon However, a careful examination of the Prophet’s (PBUH) biography reveals that the Prophet’s (PBUH) entire life is a miracle in and of itself.

Studying the Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH) throughout this course we can find many excellent attributes and good manners which will straighten our faith and enable us to be beloved by Allah.
